FAA Airworthiness Directive 2018-16-09 Boeing

FAA AD2018-16-09

 SUMMARY: We are adopting a new airworthiness directive (AD) for all The Boeing Company Model 737-100, -200, -200C, -300, -400, and -500 series airplanes. This AD was prompted by report indicating that cracks were found on the fuselage frame webs at stations forward and aft of the overwing emergency exits between stringer-7 (S-7) and S-8. This AD requires repetitive high frequency eddy current (HFEC) inspections for cracking of the fuselage frame webs at certain stations between S-7 and S-8 and applicable on-condition actions. We are issuing this AD to address the unsafe condition on these products. 

FAA Airworthiness Directive 2018-12-08 Airbus

FAA AD2018-12-08

 SUMMARY: We are superseding Airworthiness Directive (AD) 2017-07-07, which applied to certain Airbus Model A330-200, A330-300, A340-200, and A340-300 series airplanes. AD 2017-07-07 required repetitive inspections of certain fastener holes, and related investigative and corrective actions if necessary. This AD retains the requirements of AD 2017-07-07 and expands the applicability. This AD was prompted by a report of cracking at fastener holes located at frame (FR) 40 on the lower shell panel junction. We are issuing this AD to address the unsafe condition on these products 

Textron/Cessna 400 series Spar Eddy Current inspection

SUMMARY: We are adopting a new airworthiness directive (AD) for certain Textron Aviation Inc. Models 401, 401A, 401B, 402, 402A, 402B, 402C, 411, 411A, 414, 414A 421, 421A, 421B, 421C, and 425 airplanes. This AD requires repetitively inspecting the left and the right forward lower carry through spar cap for cracks and replacing the carry through spar if cracks are found. This AD was prompted by a report of a fully cracked lower forward carry through spar cap found on an affected airplane. We are issuing this AD to address the unsafe condition on these products.

DATES: This AD is effective February 28, 2018.

The Director of the Federal Register approved the incorporation by reference of certain publications listed in this AD as of February 28, 2018.

We must receive comments on this AD by March 30, 2018.

FAA AD 2017-13-13 Boeing B737 Cracking

SUMMARY: We are adopting a new airworthiness directive (AD) for certain The Boeing Company Model 737-100, -200, -200C, -300, -400, and -500 series airplanes. This AD was prompted by reports of frame web cracking at certain locations. This AD requires repetitive inspections in certain locations of the frame web, and corrective action if necessary. We are issuing this AD to address the unsafe condition on these products.
